Summer Favorites

I've been able to try out a lot products this summer and various of them have become my favorites/essentials. 

• Milani Baked Bronzer in Glow: I have been loving this bronzer for an all over glow. Sometimes I even use it as a blush.
• Alba Botanica Natural Hawaiian Oil Free Moisturizer in Refining Aloe & Green Tea: This is my all time favorite moisturizer. It really sinks into my skin and it gives a refreshing feeling.
• bareMinerals Matte Foundation: I love using this to set my under eye concealer. This summer I've decided to skip out on foundation and whenever I feel oily I just dab a bit around the areas that tend to get oily.
• OGX Coconut Oil Weightless Hydrating Mist: This has become my holy grail hair product. Not only does it make my hair smell nice but it gives it volume and texture that lasts all day.
• NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm: The perfect pink nude for me. The only negative thing I have to say is that it does sink into my fine lines but I can work with it.
• Maybelline Fit Me Concealer: Perfect for my under eyes or any where else I want to highlight. 
• Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso: Recently this has been my go to blush. I love the natural sheen it gives and when I pair it with the baked bronzer in Glow it gives me the perfect finish.
• up & up Powder Brush: This brush is from the Target up & up brand. I love using this brush for applying my blush.
• e.l.f. Studio Blush Brush: The tapered end of the brush is perfect for setting my under eyes and any small areas.
• bareMinerals Flawless Application Face Brush: I love using the tapered end of the brush to apply bronzer to the hollow of my cheeks. It blends so perfectly.
• Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Nude: This eyeliner really opens up my eyes.
• eos Lip Balm in Tangerine: I like applying this lip balm right before I go to bed because it really keeps my lips moisturized until morning.
• Rimmel London Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss Lipstick in #109: A perfect coral lipstick. Whenever I'm feeling bold I put on this lipstick. I love that it's matte but still moisturizing.
• NYX Above and Beyond Full Coverage Concealer: This concealer is perfect for covering up any redness.

• Old Navy The Rockstar Cropped Jeans: These are the jeans for me! They are the perfect fit. I have always struggled in the jean department because they always fit me too long. Since these are cropped they fit me perfectly.
• Old Navy The Boyfriend shorts: My go to shorts recently.
• Fossil Messenger Bag
• Gold Necklace
• Rubi Jelly Sandals: Recently these are all I have been wearing.

• Bath & Body Works Cheers to Capri candle: This summer I have discovered how beautiful Italy is and have become obsessed with anything Italy based. This candle is lemon scented.
• Fabric Hair Ties
• A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway: This book has been my Summer read. I have not finished it but it definitely has been a great book.

My Everyday Makeup

For summer I like to keep it very simple. I make sure to keep my face sweat and shine proof. I decide to skip out on foundation during the summer since my skin rarely breaks out. I apply the Maybelline FitMe Concealer under my eyes and the NYX Above and Beyond Full Coverage Concealer on any redness or scarring. I blend it all out with my fingers and Beautyblender. I use the bareMinerals Matte Foundation to set wherever I have applied concealer and to any places that tend to get shiny throughout the day (my forehead). On to my eyes, I also decide to skip out on eye shadow and just apply the Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara on my lashes the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Nude on my waterline to open up my eyes. My go-to blush has been the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso, it adds a great pink-y sheen to my cheeks. Lastly, I apply the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm, a great nude lip color.

Earlier this week, Emma Watson became a Brown University graduate. She posted a selfie on her instagram page and I absolutely thought her look was appropriate for graduation. I was inspired by the color orange for this look, and I'm pretty sure you've all seen that it is very in for spring and summer. So starting with the face, I would advise a bb cream with some concealer to highlight. You don't want to be smothered with too much because it is going to be hot and most likely, humid. For blush I would opt for a gel or cream, but I love the NYX powder blushes as well. There are many great drugstore bronzers that are great for this time of year like the Rimmel bronzer in Sun Kissed but I feel like the NARS bronzer in Laguna is just something I could wear all year round (I have heard that the e.l.f. contour duo in St. Lucia is a dupe for this bronzer). During spring and summer it's great to use shimmer eyeshadows to add to the glow in your face (especially bronzy shadows). For mascara a waterproof formula is most important!! The Rimmel eyeliner in Nude is another great must have for all year round looks. This eyeliner definitely makes your eyes look brighter and wider. For lips (my favorite part), anything goes but for this look a coral or an orange color would be perfect.

♡ VALENTINE'S DAY MAKE-UP SUGGESTIONS: DRUGSTORE♡

Valentine's Day is a day where you could either look forward to or ignore completely. If you don't have a valentine's this year maybe it would be fun to go out to eat or shop with some friends. If you do have a valentine's this year try something new and don't do a cookie-cutter valentine's day evening. Here are some drug store make up suggestions for a perfect valentines day look!jbja

Face:
It would be ideal to not wear anything heavy on Valentine's day and just go out with a face mositurizer but some of us aren't so lucky. A sheer foundation or BB cream should do the trick. It's better not to be so fussy about having too many caked on products. 

Here are some suggested foundations/BB creams:

A nice light barely-there blush would be perfect for a night out. Specifically there two Maybelline Fit Me Blushes. I would skip the bronzer, unless you really want to contour your face.

Eyes
 I always go neutral with eye shadow colors but for Valentine's Day I would mix it  up a bit depending on my lipstick I would put a burgundy or light pink on my crease. Here are some options:

Option 1:
I would use this Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bold Gold all over my lid and add a little of a light pink eye shadow.

I would skip the eyeliner but if you want a dramatic, you could do a winged eyeliner look using one of these two:

 For mascara I recommend any mascara that really gives volume and length like Maybelline's The Rocket Mascara               
                                                                                                      
Lips:
I always choose the lipstick I am going to wear depending on how intense or dramatic my eyes are. 

If my eye look is dramatic I tend to go with a more subtle lipstick like Maybelline's Color Sensational: The Buffs  in Blushing Beige

For a less dramatic eye I would go with a bold lip like Wet n Wild's Mega Last Lip Color in Cherry Bomb.

If you're not the lipstick type, Maybelline's Baby Lips in Cherry Me gives the perfect red stain for the lips.
