Senior Year

I wanted to make a quick update on what is currently going on. I officially start my senior year of high school on Monday! In a way it is bittersweet, high school has been such a good time, I have learned so many new things about me and who I aspire to be. As Monday starts the beginning of a new school year, I hope to accomplish everything I set out to do. Although there are many responsibilities that come with being a senior, college/scholarships apps, I am really excited for the fun parts as well (GradBash!!). As my friend and I decorated out senior crowns today we kept discussing all the expectations of this upcoming year. I hope it doesn't dissapoint!

Follow Me Around: PAMM

On Saturday I had the oppurtunity to go to PAMM (Perez Art Museum Miami). I love going here to check out the art and it is always fun to do something different.

I like to take advantage that every second Saturday of the month it is free admission!

Top 5 Inspirational Fashion Films on Netflix

This summer I have been all about Netflix. The variety of movies Netflix offers is okay but not the amount some people have hyped it up to be. Nevertheless, here are my favorite Netflix movies to watch that include some fantastic styling.

Sabrina (1954):

It's safe to say any Audrey Hepburn movie will have great fashion.

Uptown Girls (2003):

The quirky, Brittany Murphy, brings laughs and inspiration in this 2003 chick flick.

My Week With Marilyn (2011):

Fifties fashion will always be inspirational to me.

Clueless (1995):

One of my all time favorite movies, Cher (Alicia Silverstone) does not fail to deliver in the fashion department.

The Great Gatsby (1974):

Not to be confused with the Baz Luhrmann's rendition, this movie emulates The Roaring Twenties just as good.

Honorable Mentions:

Charade (1963):

The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999):

Follow Me Around

Yesterday I was in the Coral Gables area, more specifically Miracle Mile. My brother and I stopped by B&N and later had lunch at Panera. It was nice to get out of the house for a little while and soak up some sun.

While at B&N I browsed some of the fashion books. This one stuck out to me the most. Definitely a future purchase!

My lunch at Panera was so yummy!

We decided to sit down on a bench after lunch and just soak in some sun. I also made this time to reapply my favorite lip product at the moment, the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream and this one is in the shade Abu Dhabi.

Back to School Wish List

Back to School Wish List

School begins again next month and I still haven't gone back-to-school shopping. Here are some things that I want to invest in.

  • Espadrilles: I have been dying for a pair of these! I wore out my last pair so much that they fell apart. These are so comfortable and are perfect for everyday use.
  • Jansport: I always end up buying a cute book bag at the beginning of the year and they end up broken by the second month into the school year. I always end up going back to my old Jansport, so this year I'm just going to invest in a new Jansport this year.
  • Head scarf/band: These are great, since my school is mostly out doors and going from class to class does involve going outside, it gets really hot. This is a better alternative than tying my hair up.
  • Dry shampoo: Sometimes I end up staying late finishing  project or homework. It get's too late for me to wash my hair so dry shampoo is a savior in the morning.
  • Water bottle: A water bottle at school in the vending machines cost one dollar so investing in a water bottle is a great money saver.
  • Watch: Sometimes teachers don't allow you to have your phone out and I'm the type of person to constantly be pulling my phone out and checking the time. Even though there are clocks inside the classrooms they don't always work. A nice watch would be a great investment as well.

Summer Favorites

I've been able to try out a lot products this summer and various of them have become my favorites/essentials.

  • Milani Baked Bronzer in Glow: I have been loving this bronzer for an all over glow. Sometimes I even use it as a blush.
  • Alba Botanica Natural Hawaiian Oil Free Moisturizer in Refining Aloe & Green Tea: This is my all time favorite moisturizer. It really sinks into my skin and it gives a refreshing feeling.
  • bareMinerals Matte Foundation: I love using this to set my under eye concealer. This summer I've decided to skip out on foundation and whenever I feel oily I just dab a bit around the areas that tend to get oily.
  • OGX Coconut Oil Weightless Hydrating Mist: This has become my holy grail hair product. Not only does it make my hair smell nice but it gives it volume and texture that lasts all day.
  • NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm: The perfect pink nude for me. The only negative thing I have to say is that it does sink into my fine lines but I can work with it.
  • Maybelline Fit Me Concealer: Perfect for my under eyes or any where else I want to highlight.
  • Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso: Recently this has been my go to blush. I love the natural sheen it gives and when I pair it with the baked bronzer in Glow it gives me the perfect finish.
  • up & up Powder Brush: This brush is from the Target up & up brand. I love using this brush for applying my blush.
  • e.l.f. Studio Blush Brush: The tapered end of the brush is perfect for setting my under eyes and any small areas.
  • bareMinerals Flawless Application Face Brush: I love using the tapered end of the brush to apply bronzer to the hollow of my cheeks. It blends so perfectly.
  • Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Nude: This eyeliner really opens up my eyes.
  • eos Lip Balm in Tangerine: I like applying this lip balm right before I go to bed because it really keeps my lips moisturized until morning.
  • Rimmel London Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss Lipstick in #109: A perfect coral lipstick. Whenever I'm feeling bold I put on this lipstick. I love that it's matte but still moisturizing.
  • NYX Above and Beyond Full Coverage Concealer: This concealer is perfect for covering up any redness.

  • Old Navy The Rockstar Cropped Jeans: These are the jeans for me! They are the perfect fit. I have always struggled in the jean department because they always fit me too long. Since these are cropped they fit me perfectly.
  • Old Navy The Boyfriend shorts: My go to shorts recently.
  • Fossil Messenger Bag
  • Gold Necklace
  • Rubi Jelly Sandals: Recently these are all I have been wearing.

  • Bath & Body Works Cheers to Capri candle: This summer I have discovered how beautiful Italy is and have become obsessed with anything Italy based. This candle is lemon scented.
  • Fabric Hair Ties
  • A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway: This book has been my Summer read. I have not finished it but it definitely has been a great book.

What have you been loving this Summer?

Running Essentials

Running Essentials

I've never been much of a person to actually go to a gym and exercise. But we all know it's bad to just sit at home and stay sedimentary. This summer I made it my goal to actually get up and do something. I've found that running or walking has benefited my health so much and I couldn't imagine myself not doing it. Running has becoming part of my routine. I love going right before the sun comes up. If I neglect to go in the morning I always make myself go a little after sundown. The park by my house has a great track and there are always people there from many ages, in a way it is very encouraging. Before I go running I make sure to be hydrated and have a healthy snack. Even though there isn't much sun out I always make sure to stay protected from the sunning by using sunscreen on my body and face. When I go running I like to have upbeat songs on shuffle. I put my hair in a bun or ponytail and finish it off with a cap. Every ten or fifty minutes I make sure to take a water break. It's always important to stay hydrated. After running I like to be refreshed so I eat a lot of refreshing fruit like strawberries. I wipe my face with face wipes and dry it off with a towel. Excersing gives me such a great feeling and it really wakes you and let's you start the day fresh.

Lazy Day Routine

Lazy Day Routine

Rainy days instantly turns into a lazy day for me. I usually just lounge on my bed and  check out other bloggers or watch Netflix all day (I've recently been enjoying 90210). I'll start of the day by brushing my teeth with some Colgate toothpaste and (of course) my toothbrush; I follow up by washing my face with the Olay Foaming Face Wash for Oily Skin / Combination Skin. After I have dried off my face I make sure moisturize with Alba Refining Aloe & Green Tea Natural Hawaiian Oil Free Moisturizer and apply an eos lip balm. I also like to keep my hair moisturized with the OGX Nourishing Coconut Oil Weightless Hydrating Oil Mist. I'll eat breakfast which is usually cereal since it's the easiest thing to do for me. After that I go back to my room and lay in bed with my laptop. I'm not the type of person to stay in my pajamas all day so I'll change into some comfy shorts and a T-shirt. I like to keep my feet warm with some fluffy socks. I like to keep my hair out of my face so I tie it up into a messy bun with a fabric hair tie because they don't pull at my hair.

After I'm all settled in bed, I like to snuggle up with my pillows on blankets while I watch Netflix or check my phone.

What do you guys usually do on lazy days?

My Latest Obsession: Gossip Girl

Ever since summer started, I have shamelessly spent ninety percent of my free time holed up in my room re-watching all six seasons of Gossip Girl. It's been two years since the series ended and I still can't get enough. I love seeing the fashion transformations of each character (excluding Nate as he doesn't do much in the fashion part, in my opinion). Here are memorable fashion moments from each season:

Season 1:

Season 2:

Season 3:

Season 4:

Season 5:

Season 6:

Not only did Gossip Girl have great fashion but also great people, here are some memorable celebrities that have been on the show:

Tim Gunn

Tyra Banks

Vera Wang

Karlie Kloss

Rachel Zoe

Michael Kors

Alexa Chung
